I found seededbuzz on Facebook, of all places. I’m all for getting new followers – who isn’t? Follow Fridays just don’t work with my schedule and lately I haven’t actively been going after followers. Then I read about seededbuzz.
At first, I felt like I did 2 years ago when I signed up for Twitter. I just didn’t get it. I’m still a newbie. In fact, this is my first buzz – where you blog about someone else’s blog (a seed). So bear with me. But I think the concept is really fun and clever.
First of all, it’s by invitation so you have to go to seededbuzz and sign up and let them take a look at your blog. Then you plant a seed. That’s where you write something about one of your posts and add the link.
Next comes the Buzz. You scroll thru the categories you like, find a Seed that interests you, click on the link to their blog. If you like it, blog about it – that the Buzz. Then you tag their Seed with a link to your Buzz post.
I know, I know. It seems a bit complicated. But it’s not, really. It’s fun. And it’s different! It’s a new way to meet other bloggers and for them to meet you.
So what caught my eye today? A crafter, of course! She made these cute tea cup candles. It looks really easy and with the holidays coming, I think they’re a wonderful gift.
Check out PieBird for all the instructions. She also has an Etsy shop, but she’s on vacation for a couple of weeks. Can’t wait to see what she has ‘cooked’ up there too!
So that’s the Buzz today! Here’s what I really like about seededbuzz – it’s a great way to share your blog, maybe pick up new followers, and meet other bloggers, but it also gives you some great content! Don’t you have those days when you just don’t have anything to blog about? Not anymore! With seededbuzz you can find all kinds of fun and interesting blogs and chances are, they’ll buzz about you!
Let me know if you give it a try and I’ll Buzz your blog too!
Colleen
