My painting muse has left me. I have no idea why. It’s really rare that I’m not inspired to paint. But for the past 10 days – nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
Usually there are so many ideas floating around in my brain that it’s hard to make a choice.
But not lately.
Thank goodness for fellow painter-bloggers. I can always count on them to post beautiful work!
DecorMadeSimple is a wonderful site . . . and so much more than a blog. It’s an entire community! If you are into decorating, you have to go visit her and join the community!
And look at her tree mural! Ok, I love that it’s in the corner and she took it up onto the ceiling – two things that make painting a bit of a pain. But what was really fun about her mural is how she got her daughters involved!
This is a fabulous idea if you’re just a tad bit freaked out with the idea of painting a mural. Our Suburban Nest painted it the tree and bird as a silhouette, which is a great idea. I love the white on her lavender/blue walls.
Fawne @ Moment of Stars says she hasn’t painted a mural in 10 years. You’d never know it, would you? This is an awesome tree mural in a daycare. It’s given me inspiration for a church daycare I’m going to paint.
And last, but certainly never, ever least, Lindy @ Cottage Hill painted her entire dining room! The gal’s got talent, I’m tellin’ you. Every time I visit her blog, I get inspired.
Aren’t these wonderful murals? I thought so too, you know . . .
what’s that? wait a minute . . . I hear something . . .
I think it’s my muse. Gotta go!

Some great murals...thank you for sharing Colleen. Soo happy that your muse came back!!

Oh why thank you haha I don't know if I have a "secret" but I started to get a couple bubbles and so I just kept smoothing them out while it dried, I was so worried about getting bubbles so I sat there and made sure they got flat!
Beautiful!! Love the tree and tire swing!
