Another week, come and gone. And guess what . . . it’s December! Maybe that doesn’t surprise you, but I just can’t believe it.
It’s kind of like my age. I know the numbers. I accept that I’ve lived each year. But it just doesn’t sound right.
December?
Fifty-something?
Is this somebody’s idea of a joke?
I’m just sure I’m gonna wake up tomorrow – it’ll be June - and I’ll actually be 34.
Wait a minute. . . I take that back.
If I was 34, I wouldn’t have my sweet grandson. If I was 34, I’d have to raise my 3 stepsons again. And go thru the teenage years. Again.
Uh, I’ll pass, thank you very much.
I’m 53 and it’s December 3. Just one more reminder to Self to be present in each moment and appreciate it.
And I do appreciate your paint projects. Especially since I’ve been in a painting drought lately.
I can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to, so link ‘em up!
I hope you don't mind, but my link is actually a giveaway for this awesome little Santa portrait done by Nathan Pinnock. It's a 5x7 oil on masonite painnting. For the fun of it Nathan gave this to us to give away on our site. We're so excited because this is really a once in a lifetime opportunity for some amazing soul out there. Thanks for the link party. We'll be back to share more of our own painting too.

Its good to be proud of your age and happy where you are at! Im 26, and although I feel way too old for my age... (Ive got 3 kids and they make me feel old! LOL) And I do miss my "younger" days but Aside from that I do love and enjoy the phase im in right now.
ReplyDeleteI know I can enjoy it because time does go by sooo fast! My babies are already 7, 4 and 1. But in just a few more months they will be 8, 5 and 2 (feb, march and april birthdays.. funny how they are all right in a row. LOL)
And it seems like just yesterday I was giving birth to them! LOL
Anywho.. I linked up an old painting I did for my sister. The Campbell kids! :) Its one of my fav paintings.
Time does fly! I love being a grandma, but the grandkids won't "stay little" they insist on growing up.....toooo fast.....
