Free Christmas Painting Project!

Even if you’ve never painted before, give this a try. It may seem like a lot of steps, but I just took a whole lotta photos. You can definitely do it in an afternoon. You don’t need to know any blending or shading techniques. Just color it in. Really.

So, what could you do with it once you’ve painted it? The possibilities are endless. I take pictures of my original work and print them off on transfer paper, canvas, decals, you name it.

Or you can upload to Zazzle or Cafepress and create some wonderful gifts. (You have my permission to use your own painted art for this, not mine, please.)

Take a look at a few pics. The full tutorial with supply list is here. I left my background white just for reproduction purposes. You might want to paint yours in, tho.

Basecoat the ribbon, berries, leaves & background petals.

Apply shading & highlighting. Just follow my pictures or use the pattern for guidance.

Apply topcoat colors everywhere. This will smooth out any rough strokes.

Dip a cotton swab in yellow paint to add center berries. And you’re done!
