I told my Self I was going to get focused after the move.
Self isn’t listening.
First, it’s 95 freaking degrees here. Which makes it a little difficult to get into the spirit of painting snowmen.
Second, every magazine, blog, ezine, etc. is full of Halloween. And I haven’t painted one, single, solitary Halloween thing this year.
Then I saw these.
And these . . .
. . . at Target.com.
Then Self said, “it’s so easy to draw a spiderweb! Maybe someone wants to draw some on some dollar store plates.”
So if you’re someone who wants to, here’s how easy it is.
I used a Sharpie. If you’re decorating a glass or plate, use a paint pen.
First, draw a little circle. A tiny one.
The smaller the better.
Then draw straight lines outward from the tiny circle – likes spokes of a wheel.
It doesn’t matter how many. And it doesn’t matter if if they are evenly spaced.
As a matter of fact, it’ll look better if they aren’t lined up. Make them randomly spaced.
Next, connect each straight line with little curved lines. Again, not evenly spaced. Or evenly curved.
I found it was easier if I just turned the paper ‘round and ‘round and ‘round.
Then, keep going with the curved lines.
Do as few or as many as you want. Space them close together or far apart.
You can make some of the lines thick, some thin. It really won’t matter.
It’s quick. And easy. And fun.
Oh wait . . . Wanna spider too?
Of course you do. What’s a spiderweb without a spider?
A little circle and a bigger circle, then four curved lines on each side.
Hang him/her from one of the straight web lines, or in the middle, or do more than one.
Super simple. Super easy!
Now, Go Forth and Draw Webs!!!
You make me want to darw when I should be writing...!! Love your spidie web. Cute. Try to stay cool. I will pray for clouds for you.
