I’ve been compiling a little list of blogging tips lately. At first, it was just for myself. Then I realized nearly everything I’ve learned about blogging I’ve learned from other bloggers.
Okay, some of the techie stuff I google – but that usually leads me to other bloggers.
The list keeps getting longer, and longer (kind of like my posts), to the point where I thought maybe I should share the tips. Consider this my little attempt at Giving Back.
It’s not that I consider myself a great blogger. And it’s not that I have a ton of followers. I am, however, planning on making some changes to my blog in January, which has caused me to look at blogging with a fresh perspective.
That, and I just went thru a 3 week creative block aka depression. Didn’t feel like writing, painting, commenting. Not even playing games on Facebook.
Now, that’s depressed!
Now that I’m on the other side of the block, I want to really enjoy the time I spend blogging. So, I asked myself –
Why Do You Blog?
- Is it because of the companionship of other bloggers?
- Or, do you just enjoy sharing through writing?
- Do you have a business you market via blogging?
- Or, something else?
For me, it’s all of the above. And there’s one common thread – it makes me feel good.
I just have fun blogging.
Would I like to have thousands of followers? Sure!
Would I like to make some money at it? Duh! Of course!
Do I have any secrets to make this happen? Nope!
But one of my favoritist things about blogging (besides being able to make up my own words) is Sharing. Sharing comments, encouragement, stories . . . it’s fantastic. It just never ceases to amaze me how supportive fellow bloggers are.

Disclaimer #2 – All of these ‘tips’ are for Blogger. One of these days I’ll put my big girl pants on and switch to WordPress. Just not right now.
