A Simple & Easy Plan for Cleaning & Organizing

Many of you know that I started a feng shui blog last Fall. I don’t spend nearly as much time writing about feng shui as I do painting because, well, painting is just more fun!

Another reason is, to have positive energy flow and good feng shui, you have to have a decluttered, clean space.

Houston, we have a problem.

I can give you all kinds of excuses and justifications why my house isn’t as clean and organized as it was when I was, say, in my 20’s. Some of those excuses are fairly valid – like my bad back.

But to be perfectly honest, I just don’t keep up with housecleaning and organizing like I used to. And that’s a problem – especially when you work out of the home.

I had to come up with a plan – a plan that would work for me, for my lifestyle, and my energy flow. It’s called Clean in 15!

Here’s the thing – you don’t even have to be into feng shui to follow along. Each day I write a 15 minute decluttering reminder and a 15 minute cleaning reminder.

I know – that actually totals 30 minutes. But 15 minutes sounds (and feels) so much better.

Now, you might be thinking that you just can’t get your house clean and organized in 15 minutes a day. Well, you can’t – not in ONE day. But 15 minutes over a week’s time is almost 2 hours. In a month, it’s almost 8 hours.

Do you spend 8 hours a month organizing right now? I know I don’t!

So while I fully realize it’ll take longer to get my house clean and organized spending only 15-30 minutes a day, it’s a plan that is do-able for me.

If you’ve been feeling like you need a little help with your own house, feel free to join us. The easiest way is to subscribe to Feng Shui Savvy by email and get a daily reminder. And feel free to grab the Clean in 15! button if you want your readers to join too.

And if you have any cleaning and organizing tips, tools, suggestions, etc., please let me know! I’m open to anything that makes it quick and easy.
