We have a very nice screened porch. It’s little, but it’s nice. My brother enclosed it quite a few years ago and I love sitting out there.
I could show you a picture but I’m not gonna. It’s still in it’s ‘before’ state.
I like the sound of that . . . “before”. It implies there’s going to be an “after”. Some day.
After the spider webs are gone. After it’s dusted. After it’s washed down. After it’s cutie-beautified.
That’s a lot of ‘afters’.
In lieu of me actually cleaning today, I’d rather share some inspiration photos.
Wouldn’t you just love to sit on this lovely porch? Brittany @ Pretty Handy Girl made her porch so inviting.
One of my favorite projects on her porch is this painted bamboo rug. Yep – she painted it.
That’s not all she painted though. Drop by Pretty Handy Girl and read about all the special touches she added to her porch.
My next inspiration comes from Kate at Centsational Girl. There’s not a lot about Kate that doesn’t inspire me. But, oh, how I’d love to have my front entrance look like this!
She had me with this delphinium pic, which btw I’ve saved in my to-be-painted file. But I really loved the fresh green around the floor rug.
Check it out – she painted the border! With spray paint. A girl after my own heart.
And finally, a porch that could make me move to the South.
Have you visited Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch yet? If you have, you know why I absolutely swoon when I see her porch.
Swoon, y’all! Just makes me break into my best Paula Deen impression.
I’ve never been on a ‘porch’ like Susan’s. In fact, I don’t think it should be called a porch at all. Maybe a veranda? I dunno. I’ve never been to the South, but if I go, I’m calling Susan up to see if I can drop by.
But then, I might never leave.
Which would certainly take care of all the work my porch needs to get to an ‘after’ stage.
