Man, are they ever! Don’t get me wrong, I love this time of year. But there is so much going on.
First of all, I don’t have a single, solitary project to share with you today. Not that I haven’t been busy. I have been. Really busy.
- I’m installing Christmas decorations on the gates tomorrow. (There will be a tutorial later this week . . . I hope.)
- I’m still painting african-american Santas and angels. (I’m running out of time!)
- I have not one, but two, sponsored posts this week. Now, that’d normally be a good thing, but one of them has been nothing but issues. And I will be honest and candid when I write about the product, I promise.
No, I haven’t begun decorating my house.
No, I haven’t finished any painting tutorials.
I have just been running. Running upstairs to work on one project, down to the kitchen to work on another, and then outside to work on the gate decorations. Trying to maximize my time, right? More like just wearing myself out.
Oh, and let’s not forget an impromptu trip Saturday afternoon to deliver a bookcase that I found out about Friday night at 9 p.m. But that’s a whole ‘nuther story. I will never, ever, never-ever, never ever EVER paint furniture again! (You totally have my permission to remind me I just said that when I take on another furniture project, ok?)
Not a good time to run out of pain pills for my bad back, lemme tell ya. So, yeah, throw in a doctor appointment tomorrow before the gate install. Of course! Why not give up an hour or two?
I love my job. I love my job. I love my job.
I do! But when it hits like this, all at once, I question my choices . . . and my sanity.
So right now, even though I have no new pictures or tutorials to share, I’m sharing anyway. I’m . . . breathing. Just breathing.
The rat race will start tomorrow again. At 6 a.m.
Thanks for listening.
Signed: the crazy decorator/florist/artist/painter/teacher who couldn’t decide what she wanted to be when she grew up.
