Back To School with #GoAstroBrights

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Astrobrights Papers by Neenah Paper for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's nearly back-to-school time, my friends. I know. I was a little shocked yesterday when I saw a rack of school supply lists at the office supply store. The entire rack was really eye-catching. Know why? All of the lists were printed on AstroBrights papers. Wowza!

I happen to know a little guy who loves these colors too. This year he's going to 'big-boy' school - Kindergarten. To say he's excited is an understatement. Seeing these delicious colors got my creative juices flowing. What can Gramma make for her big boy to take to school made with AstroBrights paper?

First, I needed to find out a little more about AstroBrights by Neenah. Besides 26 delectable shades, the papers are acid free and won't deteriorate. They're also laser and inkjet guaranteed. Perfect! So are the weights of the papers - 60 lb. text and 65 lb. cover, with a nice selection of colors available in 80 lb. cover. Those are great, sturdy weights for back to school, unlike regular ol' construction paper. But not so thick that they won't fold easily.

Or maybe even a hole punch? Yeah. How cute would that be, to punch out some fun shapes in neon-bright colors and stick on binders, notebooks and a homework calendar? That’s what I’m thinking. And it’s a project that my little 5 year old can participate in too, which means there’s a better chance of him taking care of his school supplies.

Do you find that? That if your kids, or grandkids, help in a process they take ownership and pride in whatever they’ve ‘made’? Alright, maybe not picking up toys so much, but you know what I mean.

I can’t wait to show you what we come up with. But guess what! YOU can “Make Something AstroBright” too and be entered to win their contest! Oh, btw, the prize is MONEY! Yep. Super easy – just make something fabulous with AstroBrights papers, go to their Facebook page, enter the Make Something AstroBright contest and upload a photo of your creation. Cool, huh? But that's not all.

I'm sure you know how schools are struggling with all of the budget cut-backs, right? How would you like your child's school to win $30,000 in supplies?!? Awesome, huh? It's so simple, too. Just drop by AstroBright's Facebook page and click on "A Brighter Year". That's it! If you win, not only does your school get $30,000 in supplies, you win $500! How 'bout that?!

Okay, I'm heading off to the store to grab some AstroBrights papers and get started on some back to school crafts! And just maybe a few goodies for myself too!

Do you love these bright colors? Which ones are your favorites? Any ideas what you'd make?
