Getting What You Want

Well, I'm still procrastinating about writing about my murals and decorating. Having so much fun reading other blogs, I just keep putting it off. But I do want to share some thoughts on creating and manifesting using Law of Attraction.

(Of course, I had to share this recent photo my grandson and the utter joy he was feeling - and radiating to me.)

I've been reading and taking workshops on Law of Attraction for nearly 20 years now. You'd think my life is pretty well perfect. And while a lot of areas are near perfect, there are plenty of issues that repeatedly come up for me, just with different circumstances or people. But the issues and challenges are still the same. I'm finally getting what it means when they say, "you take yourself with you, wherever you go."

A couple of days ago my mom and I watched for DVD, The Secret for the umpteenth time. Haven't seen it in a year or so, tho, so it was inspiring again. The next morning, something really clicked for me.

When we want something, it's always because we don't have it. Obviously. That desire, that want, will usually have a lackful vibration to it. "I want to be healthy, because I'm sick. I want more money, because I don't have enough." etc., etc. Then something Abraham has said really hit home.

Ask for what you want and then state WHY. I want to be healthy, because I enjoy dancing and feeling free. I want to have more money, because I love feeling secure and safe. These wants carry a positive vibration, which will shift our own vibration to deliberately attracting what we want.

The next time you find yourself wanting something, ask yourself why. You'll immediately notice where your vibration is regarding the subject. Then choose to move up the emotional scale by finding a more positive reason for wanting the desire.

Let me know how this works for you. I think you'll be surprised.
