Make Money Easily?!?

If you’re like me, you’ve read all sorts of articles about how to make money online and blogging. Truthfully, I started this blog for two reasons: 1) to direct people to my website, and 2) to teach people how fun and easy it is to paint with my kits. (which I’m still creating – argh!)

Yes, I signed up for Google Adsense. I’m even trying Google Adwords. I signed up with Amazon for affiliate marketing, and Commission Junction, but haven’t gotten around to putting them on my blog. But, no money yet.

I’m trying to write posts with good content (as the experts say), post frequently (sort of), offer GiveAways, as well as Twitter & Facebook.

I don’t have any sponsors or advertisers yet. I don’t even know how to go about this. If anyone has any tips or advice, I’d really appreciate it.

The experts say to visit other blogs and leave comments. The queens of this are Heather & Tiffany @ SITS. Check them out, if you haven’t already. Plus I have a lot of fun visiting crafting link parties, where I leave tons of comments and find all kinds of great projects.

Someone’s come up with a way to make money (so they say) just by posting your likes. It’s called My Likes. Have you heard of them? Just by clicking on sites, pictures, videos, you like, and writing a little comment, you get paid.

You can sign up with advertisers to link up to their sites and get paid that way too. Or create your own advertising campaign.

I just signed up, so I’ll let you know what happens. It seems like a great thing, because I spend so much time visiting other blogs. And it’s a win-win. I love letting people know about great sites I find, they get more attention, and maybe I get some bongo pennies.

I don’t know. There are so many get-rich-quick schemes out there, I’ve become cynical. Actually I’m skeptical by nature, but I’ve read a lot and everyone who wants to teach you how to make money is actually charging a fee and making money themselves.

My Likes doesn’t seem to do that. If anyone is using it, please let me know. If you like to try it, click here. I’ll share any success, or lack of success, I have.

Now, I’m off to visit some wonderful sites. Have a wonderful Saturday!

Colleen

  1. Will check out My Likes...thanks for the tip. But to address your blogging frustrations...honey, you're preachin' to the choir! It's much tougher than you think! You're doing all the right things...but sometimes there are just forces that we have no control over that make or break a blog. Not what you wanna hear, I know but here's the other big secret...
Just keep doing it. Lots of blogger don't hang in there. After enough time, you'll develop a voice and following. Keep learning all the tricks of the trade. If you haven't checked out problogger.net or copyblogger.com...you should!

  5. Your doing a great job reaching out and connecting with ohers! I am definetly going to check out Mylikes thanks for sharing that information, but I can tell you it is true about sticking with it. I have seen many blogs that have had great information, then the person just stops right when it was starting to develop on it"s own. So just keep plugging away and it will pay off.
