G is for Giraffe - and Grandson

Just when I think I’ve found all the linky parties out there, another one pops up!
I’m lucky I have something to contribute today for ‘G’.

This guy is part of a bigger wall hanging I painted.

Then there are these 2 Giraffes. They hang in my art studio. I guess I should put them up for sale or something.

I was inspired to paint them after I did this room, which I wrote about here.

Yes, I love painting giraffes. There is something so serene about them.

However, saving the best ‘G’ for last is my 2-1/2 year old grandson. These pics are a little nutty, but they show how he is learning about good grooming.

Yes, that’s a doo-rag (sp?) on his head. He has loads & loads of curls, courtesy of his father. He just got his first ‘real’ haircut, but I need to take a picture.

He’s putting lotion on, not making a funny face.

We haven’t quite worked out exactly how much to put on yet!

Those are my favorite G’s. If you’re a grandmother, I bet I know what yours are. Anyone else care to share?

  8. I agree with Catherine...
    Gorgeous Giraffes... beautiful work.

and a Gorgeous Grandson! I love his curls. Our three have curly hair from my hubby's side (Portuguese) which I would love to have, but our girls usually straighten their hair. I have stick straight hair. :o) And when our son grew out his hair over ten inches to donate for Locks of Love, he had ringlets.

    Blessings & Aloha!
