GRAMMMMAAHHHH!!! Gramma! Gramma! Can we do crafts?!?
Yes, baby. We’re going to make Valentine’s Day window decorations today!
YAAAY!! Do I get to help?
Sure! Wanna see a picture of what we’re going to make?
Did one of your friends in your computer make that?
Um, kinda. I think of Martha as a friend.
Does she say hi like your other friends in your computer?
Um, no. But I still like her.
What do I get to do, Gramma? I want to help!
Well, first I have to do a few things, then you can help cut out the hearts. See, I got you your own pair of scissors!
I can cut hearts. What color are the hearts?
What colors do you want? Red? Pink?
And PURPLE!!! And GREEN and BLUE AND GRAY!!!
Gray???
Yeah, gray.
Well, I think we’ll do two different groups, ‘kay? I’m gonna shave the crayons first.
Ok, now you can sprinkle the crayons on to the wax paper. First we’ll do the red, pink and purple.
What’s “sprinkle”?
Let me show you, baby.
Huh. That takes too long. I’ll just pour them on.
Um . . . ok. I’ll just spread the colors out a little bit.
Now, can you smile for a picture?
C’mon . . . Smile! Puhleeze???
Never mind.
What do I get to do now?
Gramma has to melt the crayons with a hot iron and then let them cool so you can just go play for a few minutes.
Santino!!! Come see how the crayons melted.
Is it supposed to look like that?
I dunno. I think we might’ve used too much purple. Are you ready to cut the hearts out?
Santino?
Nah. I’m playing with Spidey and Wolv’rine. You can cut them out, Gramma.
Gee, thanks.
Ok, now we need some fishing line to hang them up ‘cause I forgot to get ribbon.
POPPPeeeee!!! Gramma needs your fishing pole!
I don’t need the pole. I just need some line.
Poppy will do it. He can help us craft.
Oh, I’m sure that’s exactly what he wants to do this afternoon.
Okay Santino, come see!
Um . . . Gramma?
Yeah, baby?
Our hearts don’t look like your friend’s hearts.
No. No, they don’t, do they?
Hey, Gramma?
Yeah, baby?
Can we do some more crafts now?
Not right now, honey. Gramma has to go visit her friends for some more Valentine’s kids crafts ideas.
Will you ask your friends for crafts where I get to do something? With paint and glitter?
You betcha.
Ahahah! I love this post, it's so funny! I actually think your hearts look cute. I love the, "Can you smile for Grandma?" photo. LOL!!!
