Fireplace Mantel Redo

This mantel started out bright white. Quite stunning, but just too stark on the muted rock wall.



It really stood out in the room. And you really don’t want any one thing to grab your attention in a room. You want everything to ‘go together’, don’t you think?



The first thing I did was add a greyish brown antiquing to the entire mantel.

The client had a scripture quote already picked out, so I just printed it out and transferred it onto the inset of the mantel.

Then I just simply filled the lettering in.



What a difference the antiquing makes, doesn’t it? Now it looks like the rest of the room.
