A Fond Farewell and Fabulous Tutorials

I was saddened to learn today that one of my favorite gals is no longer blogging. Jan @ Bobbypin’s Boardwalk’s last post was last week. If you weren’t fortunate to visit her, let me share some of her fantastic projects.

Are you kiddin’ me? Sharpies? On drapes? This project is screaming for me to try it.

Think that’s a little ‘beyond’ your artistic ability?

Look at how Jan transformed a simple lampshade with a black Sharpie. Cute, huh?

If you’re into black & white (and I’m getting more and more into it) Sharpies now come in a ton of colors. (No, I’m not getting paid to talk about Sharpies, but I’m thinking maybe they should pay me Winking smile.)

Some more black and white awesomeness . . .

Isn’t this mailbox to-die-for? I love how the black & white mailbox greets you, and then you see the black & white pots in the yard. Beautiful theme!

Yes, this gal can paint. Which is why I hate to see her go. But she does so many other things.

Like ModPodge. On a ceiling fan.

Love this!

Just in case you’re thinking all of her projects are black and white, take a peek at her master bedroom.

I still remember the first time I saw her tree mural last year. So simple, yet so dramatic.

I think I need to paint more silhouette murals.

She’s leaving her blog up for a while for people to check out her tutorials. I’ve given you just a smidgen of all her great projects. I hope you take a few minutes and find some favorites of your own.

Ah, Jan, I’m gonna miss you!!! I wish you all the best in whatever life has in store for you next.
