Fabulous Furniture Transformations

Infarrantly Creative

Some people use paint to transform furniture. Others take it a few steps further and create pure awesomeness.

I say this because I fall into the former group and have nothing but admiration for the creativity that sparks within the latter group.

Infarrantly Creative

I mean, seriously. If I had seen this changing table out by the curb, sure, I’d have been tempted to snag it. I could see it as a refurbished shelf to hold books or tchotchkes or something, right? But not Beckie @ Infarrantly Creative. Nope. Beckie saw the potential for a one-of-a-kind holder for her personal cutter vinyl.

Genius. I say that as I look at a box-full of rolled up canvas that are all catty-whompers. But then, that’s Beckie. She really needs to trademark her phrase, “Roadkill Rescue” because I don’t know anyone else who transforms by-the-road castoffs into such cute and usable pieces.

And then there’s Mandi. I’ve never met Mandi but I’ll try and restrain myself when I do from breaking into a Barry Manilow impression.

{Sorry for the ‘70’s song reference. Couldn’t resist.}

Mandi took – and I quote – “crappy hand me down nightstand, tin foil and Mod Podge” for this sensational transformation.

Tin foil? Who’d a thought? Well, Mandi at Vintage Revivals, for one. I would’ve been so skeered to put foil on anything, not to mention a piece of furniture. But not her. She kept going and wound up with a lovely one-of-a-kind treasure. Go pay her a visit and check out how she did it.

Okay, one more incredible furniture transformation today. . .

If you saw these bookcases on sale at the bookstore, would you be tempted? Sure! Me, too. Make a great . . . well, bookcase, wouldn’t it?

Oh, but wait, Friends. One of my BBFs (best bloggin’ friends) had a vision to create a moonlit scene on the bookcase. Not only did she have the vision, she had the ingenuity to pull it off.

Do you see how it lights up? Aaack! How adorable is that? You can read the full tutorial by Brittany over at Pretty Handy Girl. Be sure and poke around a bit because she gives the best tutorials in the bloggin’ biz, imho. So good, in fact, that she also writes for TLC Parentables.

The next time you see an old piece of furniture needing some love, try thinking outside the box like Beckie, Mandi, & Brittany.

Then be sure and email me so I can go ga-ga over your stuff too.
