I’ve got some really cool ideas for babies rooms to share today. No, they’re not baby murals that I painted. Does that seem weird? It shouldn’t. I love looking at other artists work. Not only do I get a lot of inspiration, I also get tips and techniques too. I love bloggers who share their artwork.
Like Jamie at The Creative Imperative. She painted a jungle mural for her son’s room and has great tips for painting the background. This method was new to me and you can bet I’m gonna give it a try next time I get to paint a wall mural.
This next mural knocked my socks off. Or it would’ve it I wasn’t wearing sandals. It’s all fabric! The tree, birds, sun – fabric, fabric, fabric. Amy at Nap Time Crafters is the artist behind it and shares how to create a mural using fabric. What an awesome idea for renters who can’t paint. What an awesome idea period!
One of the fun parts – and hardest – of choosing nursery décor is picking the color palette. So many options nowadays. Sure, there’s still the traditional pink or blue or yellow. But some mommies and daddies are going bolder.
Bolder like, say, teal and lime green? With pops of orange!
The mommy who made this bold statement for Charlie’s Room is Brooke at Killer B Design. Her creative touch is in nearly every square inch of this room down to even the doorknob! Don’t take my word for it – head on over to Killer B Design and check out all the gorgeous projects for her daughter’s room.
What? You thought it was a little boy’s room? Nope. Charlie is a precious baby girl. But those colors would work for a little boy too, wouldn’t they?
How did you decorate your child’s nursery? What was your most favorite thing about the room – other than your baby, I mean.
hand painted murals are so much nicer that sticker and give the room areal personalised feel, i have lots of ideas here www.joannaperrymurals.co.uk
