Santa’s Weekend Workshop #2

How are you this weekend? Once again, the calendar and actual temperatures aren’t jiving, are they? ‘Round here, it’s getting hotter, not cooler. So working on Christmas gifts may seem a little counterintuitive, but just think how good we’ll feel when it actually cools down?

It is gonna cool down, right? Like . . . soon?

I tend to get a little, um, cranky in the heat. The best cure I know of for crankiness is crafting. In particular, paint crafts, of course. I try to stay away from sewing or baking crafts. Those would just add to what I call crankiness. Other people, like a particular man I know, would call it something else – starts with a ‘b’ and ends with ‘itch’.

What do men know anyways?

I’ll tell what mine knows – he knows I need to paint and today I have tons of awesome gift ideas for you that were all made using Martha Stewart’s Decorative Paint products by Plaid. So many that I’m going to split the projects up into a couple of posts.

I don’t want you to miss a single one!

Click on either the photo or the text link to read how to do each project. Then bookmark which ones you like so you can save up your Michael’s coupons. Some of the posts have coupons that are good thru September 10 – that’s today!!! But if you miss those, one will be showing up on this blog pretty soon {hint, hint}.

Okay, so maybe you won’t paint a coffee table for a Christmas present. Or maybe you will! At least you could if you wanted to.

Aren’t these great ideas? I know! And this is just a few – there are a bunch more I’ll share with you next weekend. But I just can’t sit here at the computer any longer. I’m off to paint something . . . with Martha’s new paints.

Do you make handmade gifts? What has been your favorite so far? Leave a comment and let me know!
