Hello! How are you today? I want to give a huge Welcome to all of our new readers! Wow – a couple of nice features yesterday at Knock Off Décor and Craft Gossip and we had a record-breaking day at this l’il ol’ paint blog.
If you’re a crafter/artist type, you might want to check out this article I wrote at Crafterminds. I listed over 20 sites where you can submit your craft projects. Go ahead and share your great stuff with Blogland! Then maybe you’ll ride the same ‘high’ I’m riding!
I get to spend the weekend with Grandson – which means tons of kiddo craft projects. But it also means Gramma doesn’t get any work painting done either. But I thought I’d share some ideas from my To-Do list.

At the top of my shopping list for Christmas crafts this year are epsom salts. You know, the stuff you pour into the bathtub for sore muscles?
Or is that just me, ha! Well, I’m headed to the dollar store for a few boxes of epsom salts because I can’t wait to try them on Christmas decorations.
Have you seen this?

Just throw some Mod Podge on some candles and then roll in epsom salts and you have instant sparkly-wintery-candles!

Or maybe sparkle up some cheapo ornaments?
Maybe just pour some epsom salts in a jar and add a white votive candle for instant winter goodness.
This trick has to be my favorite though – mix equal parts boiling water & epsom salts, stir until dissolved, let cool and you’ll have Frost Paint! I love this! Great for Grandson . . . and Gramma too! I mean to play with the frost paint, not soak my aching muscles. (although after a weekend with a 4 year old, I just might buy an extra box for a nice soak too!)
Have you used epsom salts for any winter decorating? What did you try? Leave a comment and share with us!
note: if anyone is having trouble leaving a comment, can you email me and let me know? A few people have had problems so it might be time to switch to a different carrier.
