St. Patrick’s Day Crafts

FinishedLabel

A few weeks ago I was all ready to break out the green paint and do some serious holiday crafting with the grandson. Then he asked me what St. Patrick’s Day is and why do we celebrate. (He’s 4.) I had no answer. Not a clue.

If you have a 4 year old ask a question and you say something like “Well, just because” you know that doesn’t work. So, with full disclosure here, I didn’t paint a single St. Paddy’s day craft. Not one. We just hopped over it into Easter.

But that doesn’t mean I don’t LOVE all of these projects I’m sharing today. Especially the green Quatrefoil Bulletin Board from Mel @ The Crafty Scientist. No, it doesn’t scream St. Patrick’s Day but doesn’t that pop of green feel like Spring? And that fabulous quatrefoil . . . love. Drop by Mel’s and see how she stenciled it!

(Btw, I met Mel at Google+. Yep. I’m telling you, more and more creative peeps are hanging out over there.)

I am in love with these rainbows painted with cotton swabs from MakeandTakes. I’ll definitely be painting these with Grandson (even if it’s for Easter!).

This next project requires no painting whatsoever – unless you want to paint the frame, of course. Katie @ Sweet Rose Studio shows how to make an Interchangeable Holiday Picture Frame in this tutorial. I love interchangeable holiday projects. Don’t you? And you can get this darling “Kiss Me.” printable at Sweet Rose Studio too.

I just might leave that one up all year! #justsayin

Or I could change it out for some of these St. Patrick’s Day printables from Mod Podge Rocks. Oh, but Amy has so much more than framed printables. She has cupcake wrappers and toppers, and toppers for treat bags and a whole lot more. Printables are a fast and easy way to get your St. Paddy cheer on.

So are these Paper Strip Shamrocks from Sugar Bee Crafts. How cute are these?!? Like Mandy says “grab some colored paper and a stapler and go for it!”

How about you? Do you make any St. Patrick’s Day crafts? Or do you just grab a beer and call it a day Winking smile.
