Want More Google+ Followers?

Google -Followers-Fast

I was so excited this week when I saw Laurie @ TipJunkie was hosting a Google+ link exchange! Why? Because the more creative bloggers there are on Google+, the more fun it is for all of us.

Do you remember when you were first on Twitter and Facebook and had just a handful of followers and friends? It wasn’t very interesting, was it? The same holds true for Google+. If you haven’t followed many bloggers you like then it’s kinda boring. Well, here comes TipJunkie to the rescue!

First you need to sign into Blogfrog.

blogfrogIf you haven’t joined BF yet, I highly recommend it. Blogfrog is my favorite blogger forum. There are loads of great communities and discussions there.

tipjunkie-blogfrog-communityOnce you’re signed in, head over to the TipJunkie Creative Community and find the Google+ link exchange. Click on “Last Page” and paste your Google+ profile URL.

Now, here’s the cool part – right now there are 166 links posted but you don’t have to go thru each and every link, click on it, and then go to Google+ and then follow that person. Nope.

All you have to do is add your link then leave a comment for me here or Google+ and I’ll share the entire list with you as a Google+ Circle.

I’ll share the TipJunkie circle with you and then you can add the entire circle all at once.

How stinkin’ cool is that?

Now, you might be thinking, “Wait a minute! Google+ is a two-way street (unlike Facebook). Just because I follow them, it doesn’t mean they will follow me back, does it?” And you’re absolutely right.

But here’s the deal – since TipJunkie is hosting this link exchange, there’s a far greater chance that most of these bloggers will follow you back since Laurie is all about supporting bloggers.

Of course, you could also send a message to the entire circle and let them know you’re following them through TipJunkie. How? Just ‘save’ the entire ‘shared circle’, maybe name it TipJunkie and then “+” TipJunkie in your message. Then they’ll know where you’re coming from!

But will they know “who” you are? They will if you’ve made a Google+ mini profile. If you haven’t, take a minute and please, please do so! To me, it’s one of the key factors in gaining new followers because they can quickly see who you are!

One thing to keep in mind – Google+ circles are static. By that I mean that when I share the circle with you it’ll have the followers from right at that moment. If more people add their links on Blogfrog, they won’t be included. Which means, I’ll keep updated my TipJunkie circle (and sharing it with you and all the other followers) as the Blogfrog links increase.

Ok! I’m heading back over to the TipJunkie Blogfrog community to circle some new friends!

Here’s a quick recap:

    1. log into Blogfrog
    2. go to TipJunkie’s Google+ Link Exchange and post your link
    3. leave a comment for me here or on Google+
    4. I’ll share the TipJunkie circle with you
    5. Send a welcome message to the TipJunkie circle

It sounds a lot more complicated than it is. If you have any trouble at all, let me know. Just think about this – how long did it take you to get nearly 200 followers on Twitter or Facebook? A lot longer than a couple of minutes, I’ll bet.

So I want to send Laurie a huge hug & kiss for hosting this Google+ link exchange. She gave a wonderful gift for all of us!

Have you read Google+ For Creative Bloggers yet? I’d love your comments or questions!
