Welcome to the last day of the wonderful Fall Porch Tour! Have you see all of the beautiful porches on the Tour so far? If not, there’s a full listing below. Don’t miss any!
I was so excited to decorate my porch this Fall. Heck, I was excited to have a porch to decorate! It’s been a few years.
In choosing a ‘style’ for the porch, I wanted rustic.
Old, worn by weather. Looking like it had survived a number of Falls.
Just like me.
Since we just moved here over the Summer, and since I haven’t had a porch to decorate for a few years, I was basically starting from scratch.
So how do you start anew, but still bring in an ‘old’ feel?
Just paint it, of course.
Spraypainted “Antique” Chair
Burlap Fall Leaf Pillow with Spray Paint
A rusted old rake that has gathered more than it’s fair share of fallen leaves.
A simple straw wreath, adorned with burlap, cattails, eucalyptus and a smattering of dollar store florals.
A simple sign to welcome guests, painted on a weathered board from our cabin.
A salvaged planter.
Not an elegant porch, but truly the look I was after . . . easy . . . comfortable . . .
. . . welcoming.
Something to bring a smile to others’ lips, and mine, as they step up to my door.
Of course, my porch isn’t the star of this year’s Fall Show.
No one can top Mother Nature.
Not even when you’re armed with a slew of spray paint cans.
Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you take some moments to visit the other porches on the Tour. Absolutely lovely!
