I’m so excited to take you on a little tour today, a Halloween tour!
This post will be a little different than most.
There are a ton of pics. Ok, so that’s not any different, I know.
But because there are so many photos I’ll keep my chatter to a minimum.
(Mark your calendars. This is a landmark occasion!)
I’ll only point out the decorations I’ve made, in case you haven’t been here before so you can see how to make them yourself.
One last thing before I button it up . . . most, if not all, of the Halloween decorations have been made with items from the dollar store. Nothing here was expensive at all.
Ok, let’s get started!
Halloween Front Porch
I kept the porch very simple, making some minor changes to the fall décor that was already there . . . except for the guys hanging out. They only look like they overstayed their welcome.
This is a different dollar store tombstone from last year but I did the same dry brush paint technique and added a little deerfoot moss.
Rather than hanging the Spray Painted Banner, I wrapped a pillow in it instead.
Halloween in the Entry
Our entry consists of a coat closet and this little chest . . . just big enough for a treat bowl and some spookiness.
I picked up the lighted white branches for Christmas but thought they worked just fine for this tableau.
The Spooky Plates are from the dollar store, along with the glittered skeleton.
You’ll see these bats all over the house. I’ll write a tutorial in a bit, but it’ll surprise you. I don’t have a Silhouette or a Cricut, and I got the supplies at the dollar store.
I added a little washi tape to the treat bowl for a little pizazz.
This photo was taken a few hours ago, when the bowl still had candy in it.
Hey, I like to munch when I work.
From the entry we move into the living room . . .
Halloween Mantel
It’s not really a mantel but that’s what we call it for lack of a better word.
We recently hung the mirror I just painted and it looks so much better rather than resting on the mantel.
Very, very simple decorations – a few candles, some pumpkins and black mesh with twinkle lights.
Moving along . . .
Halloween in the Dining Room
We changed things around a bit and moved the antique desk to the red wall and hung the mirror above it.
What a difference!
I kept the table simple with just some candles, a few pumpkins, the Spooky Eyeballs – of course – and the Wicked Table Topper.
The table topper was the impetus for the foam pumpkins I decorated this year.
Both the black & silver as well as the decoupaged pumpkins have scrolls, just like the table topper.
This is simple too. Just candles and the pumpkins and a little stenciled vase with some black and silver pumpkins.
That’s it for the upstairs. Now we’ll head on down to my level.
Halloween in the Family Room
Unlike the glitz and glam upstairs, this room is more natural with burlap, twigs, moss and maple tree seed pods.
These little guys are all over the ground outside so I scooped them up for Fall decorations.
Little did I know they’d make the perfect Halloween accent too!
I decided to hang this Spooky Burlap Table Runner this year as a banner.
In front of the Faux Zinc Skeleton Platter are some bottles I sprayed black and quickly added some tags for fun.
My beloved Grisham novels were decorated for the cause too, and more seed pods in the apothecary jar.
Finally, a place to hang my Witch and Cauldron painting.
And even more maple tree seed pods in my Italian cookie jar.
Don’t be surprised if they don’t show up dressed in gold or bronze for Christmas!
Hey, thanks so much for touring my home today! I had so much fun putting it together.
Now I hope you’ll drop by and see the other All Things Home blogger tours.
