new blogger

I'm new to this thing . . . blogging. But I want to connect with other people and maybe some might find my words interesting - who knows?
I make my living as an artist, a muralist actually. But for the past 8 months I've been taking care of my gorgeous 16 month old grandson 6 days a week. Not much time for painting. But he's about ready for a structured daycare and I'm ready to go from babysitter to grandma.
Today I met with a wonderful lady who's helping me focus on a business plan. She says I'm all over the map w/too many ideas. Guess most creative people have that problem. I can't decide which direction to move in. But at the end of our conversation, we hit on a concrete concept - feng shui art and decorating for nurseries and children's rooms.
I'm really excited to have a new direction to move into and this seems to fit in my life right now with my grandson and my art. So some of you might be interested in viewing my art as it progresses.
I'll have to learn how to post my pictures first, tho. And continue writing. Guess that's the main thing.
