OK, I've got it . . . I think

I've been reading a lot of blogs lately, trying to figure out what I want to say here. I think I've got it and I'm excited. I have a passion for creating art and interior decorating, so most of my posts will be about that. Since I'm just learning this stuff, I'll have to categorize my posts to make them easy to navigate. That'll come, hopefully.

Of course, the main thing in my life right now is my grandson, Santino. He's 18 months old today and, as a grandmother, I mark these milestones. I don't have a recent pic of him, which shocks me, but here we are a few months ago. (disregard the date stamp)

Because he is the main focus of my life right now, my work is shifting to creating art for baby's rooms. I've painted quite a few nurseries, http://muralmaker1.com/Art_Kids.html, which you can take a look at.

I've also taught a lot of art & decorating classes in the past. I've scoured the internet for DIY murals and haven't come across designs that I really like. So I'm creating my own. If you have any ideas, please let me know. I'll post them as I go. And if you live in the Sacramento area, you can host a mural party, invite your friends, and everyone can learn how to paint your baby's room.

If you're not inclined to paint yourself, I'm also creating a mural registry. You get to choose the design, colors, etc., then we'll send invites to your family and friends. You can have a mural shower, or just add it to your wish list. Murals can also be painted on canvas, not just walls. They can be personalized, sized to your specs, whatever. But we'll talk more about that later.
