Feature Friday - Dressers

Daily Inspiration -
The three basic tenets of feng shui are Safety, Comfort,  & Self-Expression. Strive for all three in your living space for optimal harmony.
If you read many decorating and DIY blogs, you probably know who the top blogger is when it comes to furniture – Miss Mustard Seed @ Mustard Seed Creations. If you haven’t visited her blog, you simply must.
Miss Mustard Seed's Creative Blog
Not only is her work sensational, she also offers loads of tips & instructions on painting furniture.

She also hosts a fabulous furniture linky party on Fridays. Take a few minutes and go check out all the beauties people have repainted.
Furniture Feature Fridays
As a lot of you know, I hound the weekly linky parties, bookmarking fabulous paint projects to feature. And wouldn’t you know one of the first dressers I find was inspired by Miss Mustard Seed!

CorninMyCoffee
Now, you know I’m forever trying to get people to try painting freehand – and CorninMyCoffee did it! No stencils, no stamps, no pattern – she just let it flow. Isn’t it darling?
I’ll say it again – you’ll be amazed at what you can create with paint.

ImpatientlyPrayingForPatience
Okay, so maybe you’re not ready for freehand yet. Try a stencil! Look at what Katie @ ImpatientlyPrayingForPatience did with an old dresser. I’m loving the oversized pattern.

GreenGracieHome
For something truly spectacular, how about silver leaf? You may have seen this gorgeous piece because it keeps getting featured all over Blogland. My new friend, Bev @ GreenGracieHome, turned an old dresser into a showpiece. Don’t worry, she tells you how she did every step.
I don’t know about you, but I’m inspired to repaint some old dressers. Lord knows, I have enough of them. What! You think all of my house is painted all cute and decorated? Have you ever heard the one about the cobbler who’s kids had no shoes . . .
Have a wonderful weekend. I’ll be posting some more how-to paint patterns. And, yes, they can be used on dressers, or tables, or walls, or whatever you’re little heart desires.

  2. Thanks so much for the feature. I would love to be brave enough to free hand, but that will be a while. So stencils will be as close as I get to freehand for now.
