Tray Love

This September I’m starting a paint meme –
 A Passion for Paint.
Any paint projects are welcome – furniture, walls, spray painting, crackle – you name it! So, please check back!
Daily Inspiration -
Take a few extra moments in your bed each morning to bask, savor and enjoy the present, before your mind starts racing down the ‘to-do’ list. Basking in appreciation will start your day off in the flow.
I walked past my little butler tray the other day and thought, “I need to do a fall painting on that.” I got as far as moving it from the living room into my studio – and there it sits. But I can take inspiration from these gals who used paint, ModPodge and their Cricuts to revamp their trays.

I’m loving this thrift store makeover Amber @ Life’s a Dance did. I don’t have a Cricut (and I didn’t win the Silhouette – sniff, sniff) but I could paint at least one word! This would be so wonderful to have breakfast in bed served on!

Anyone have the old metal TV trays? My mother has a set that we still use. I adore these turquoise & white trays Amanda @ Imperfectly Beautiful did. So fresh, aren’t they? Yes, she used her Cricut for the art, but it could certainly be painted. (Hey! I just painted a fork last weekend).

Do you have any pretty scrapbook paper? A little paint, a little glue and just look what Connie @ Shady Creek did? I’m loving the pink. And look at the iridescent ribbon she tied on the handles! So sweet!

Look what Megan did @ LittleBluePrints! Guess what the text is on the tray . . . italian & french dictionaries. What a cute idea! Now I have something to do with my french dictionary from high school ;)
Okay – I’m inspired to redo my tray. I’m thinking a bushel of apples. I’m so glad all I need to do is paint a piece of canvas and slip it in the tray!
Have you started any Fall projects? What are you working on? Or do you go straight for Halloween?
