If you want to paint furniture, one blog has risen to the top as the authority. Not to mention her awesome style. I’m talking about Miss Mustard Seed. When Marian sings the praises of a particular product, I pay attention. That’s how I first heard about chalk paint.
According to Miss Mustard Seed, and an increasing group of bloggers, this paint is beyond awesome – no sanding or primer required.
Hello!?! It’s calling my name with the no-sanding bit. I detest sanding.Which probably explains why I don’t paint more furniture.
But I digress, as usual. About the only downside I’ve read about chalk paint is the limited range of colors. Well, the incredibly talented Annie Sloan, developer of chalk paint, has that covered. Just go to her portfolio, click on any photo and she’ll tell you the paint colors she combined to get that shade. Nice!
But don’t take my recommendation for chalk paint – go read what Amy @ Sisters of the Wild West wrote. She completely transformed an old stereo cabinet with it.
Have you tried chalk paint yet? I’d love to know what you made and what you think!
