Tomorrow BBH’s cousin is getting married in Tahoe, which made a great excuse for a 3 day getaway {that I sorely needed}.
Yes, I’m sitting here in my hotel room on a Friday night blogging. But you understand, don’t you?
Coming to Lake Tahoe is like going home for me. I spent nearly every childhood summer at Echo Lake, the summit you cross over before you enter the valley.
No matter how many times I see Lake Tahoe, it still takes my breath away.
Only now I take pictures from a moving car. Again, something only bloggers understand.
It’s an awesome time of year for this resort town. Cool, but not cold. Enough snow just to be pretty. And past the ski season but before summer (read: not a bunch of tourists)
This afternoon I didn’t get a clear pic of the lake because we were anxious to get checked into our hotel/timeshare.
It’s past Stateline (the casinos) and on top of Kingsbury grade – the highway you take to Carson City.
While we don’t have a view of the lake, this is part of what we see from our room.
And this.
Carson Valley, Nevada.
Gorgeous.
So is our suite. I’ll post pics tomorrow. Although I don’t travel much at all, the last few trips we stayed in timeshares. For me, it’s the only way to go.
But I’ll share more tomorrow because . . . that’s what we bloggers do .
Hope you’re enjoying a wonderful start to Mother’s Day weekend!
