31 Days of Easy Holiday Painting: Day 9–White Pumpkins

How’s your weekend going? Are you already for Fall & Halloween? I have a couple more Halloween paint projects lined up for next week. This blog is the only reason I’m getting any decorating done at all! Not to mention some cleaning in the process. (Funny how dust bunnies line up to be in photos!)

I’m spending my entire weekend painting (shock) but not on any Fall or Halloween projects. So today I want to share some of my favorite paint projects from Pinterest.

Have you noticed the whole black & white trend this year? I gotta admit, it took me a while. In fact, I didn’t think I really was into black & white for Halloween and then I found myself painting a runner with only black paint and spray painting some dollar store pumpkins white.

Funny how those trends grow on you, isn’t it?

No, I didn’t paint my dollar store pumpkins white for this cute wreath/candle ring. Although it’s pretty darn cute. This pistachio nuts are a nice touch, adding a crisp texture.

There’s just absolutely no way any pistachio nuts would make it onto a wreath in my presence, though. The shells, maybe. Empty shells, that is.

This little guy would be much safer on my table. The letters make a nice touch. Just glue them on and spray away.

Hey, look! Burlap roses? I’m sure I could scrounge up a burlap scrap or two Winking smile.

Do these qualify as white pumpkins? I guess they do now! The damask one on the riser is my absolute fav this year. Decoupage, people! Can you stand it? Cut, glue, awesome.

‘Course, you have to find the damask paper somewhere first.

But still, I’d be the one trying to stencil an intricate pattern on a round surface with ridges.

So how are you decorating pumpkins this year? Carving? Painting? Are you a fan of the white pumpkins?
